Hypex in VoiceVictory Systems — Controlled Power for Emotional Sound

A loudspeaker is only as good as the control behind it.For VoiceVictory systems, amplification is not an afterthought. It is part of the total design.

That is why we use Hypex Class D amplifier technology in our basic amplifier solutions for VoiceVictory speakers.

Why Hypex?

Hypex is known in the audio world for efficient, stable and clean Class D amplification. The technology delivers strong power output with low heat production and excellent control over the loudspeaker drivers.

For VoiceVictory, this is important because the speaker must not only play loud. It must play with authority, speed and refinement.

A good amplifier controls the movement of the speaker units. This means tighter bass, cleaner vocals and a more stable stereo image.

Bi-Amping: More Control, More Power, More Emotion

In high-end audio, power is important. But control is even more important.

That is exactly where Bi-Amping becomes interesting. Instead of using one amplifier channel to drive the complete speaker, Bi-Amping uses two separate amplifier channels: one for the low frequencies and one for the mid/high frequencies.

The result is a speaker that can breathe more freely. More grip in the bass. More openness in the midrange. More detail in the high frequencies. And above all: a more stable and effortless sound.

What is Bi-Amping?

Bi-Amping means that a loudspeaker is powered by two amplifier channels instead of one.

In a traditional setup, one amplifier channel sends the full audio signal to the speaker. Inside the speaker, the crossover divides the signal between the woofer and the tweeter.

Hypex Class D Amplifiers: Compact Power, Serious Hi-Fi Performance

Why Hypex changed the reputation of Class D

For many years, Class D amplifiers were seen as practical, efficient and powerful, but not always as musical as traditional Class A or Class AB designs. They were often associated with subwoofers, active speakers and compact systems.

Hypex helped change that perception.

Hypex developed high-performance Class D amplifier technologies such as UcD™, NCORE®, NCOREx® and Nilai®. These platforms are used in many modern Hi-Fi, high-end, professional and active loudspeaker applications because they combine efficiency, compact size and strong measured performance with serious sound quality. Hypex describes NCORE® as a Class D amplifier platform designed for clarity, resolution and musicality, while NCOREx® and Nilai® continue that development with further performance improvements.

What makes Hypex Class D different?

A Class D amplifier uses high-speed switching technology instead of the traditional linear output stage found in Class A or Class AB amplifiers. The advantage is…

Class A, B, AB and D Amplifiers Explained

Different amplifier classes, different character

When choosing a Hi-Fi amplifier, you will often see terms like Class A, Class B, Class AB and Class D. These classes do not describe sound quality directly. They describe the way an amplifier works internally and how it delivers power to your speakers.

Each amplifier class has its own strengths, compromises and ideal use. Some are loved for warmth and musical purity. Others are chosen for power, efficiency and control.

At YourAudio, we believe the best amplifier is not chosen by class alone. It must match your speakers, your room and the way you listen to music.

What does amplifier class mean?

An amplifier receives a small signal from your source or DAC and increases it so your speakers can turn that signal into sound.
